What Donations We are Seeking to the AI Library

Following from our vision of the Edinburgh AI Library we are seeking the following donations.

• Technical reports from any of the series run by the following Edinburgh AI research laboratories: Department of Machine Intelligence and Perception, Experimental Programming Unit, Bionics Research Laboratory, Theoretical Psychology Unit, Metamathematics Unit, Theoretical Unit, Department of Computational Logic, Department of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Intelligence Research Unit, Artificial Intelligence Applications Institute, Division of Informatics.
• PhD, MSc or AI4 dissertations from students based at any of the above research laboratories.

  We prefer donations of the above in electronic form, ideally as pdf files or dvi or doc files (which are readily converted to pdf) or ps files, but we are also happy to accept any form, including tex, mss or rno source. If only paper copies are available we will digitise these to a high standard. We are happy to accept loans for digitisation. This Edinburgh AI Collection will all be made freely available to readers within and outwith Edinburgh. Note that it has always been both DAI and Informatics policy to retain copyright on the electronic forms of publications of its staff and students.

• Important AI-related books, journals and other publications that are not available in electronic form. We are especially interested in publications that are no longer in print.
• We are interested in pointers to important, online, AI collections maintained by others, either free or commercial, that we might link to. We will have software that can provide a transparent interface to a heterogeneous family of such collections. Of course, we will not be able to provide free access to any commercial collections to readers not covered by the scope of our licence for that collection.
• We are also interested in cash donations to fund the proposed digitisation programme.
