News

The School is in the process of moving to its new home, the Informatics Forum. The School Office has already moved and is operational.

Please check our contacts web page for information on how to get in touch and location maps. 

To celebrate the move the School is hosting a series of opening events are planned.

About the Forum

The new building, the Informatics Forum, will be a landmark, a centre for innovation and interaction, located in the centre of the University's main campus, alongside new teaching, conference and technology transfer facilities in the Appleton Tower.

The Informatics Forum forms the 11,800m2 first phase of the development, occupying the Southern half of the Crichton Street site, and planned for completion in 2007.

Milestones

26 September 2005
Planning permission has been granted for the Informatics Forum. The plans and drawings are available here, or from the City of Edinburgh Council web site.
10 October 2005
