Distributed Computation for Cognition - Tutorial plan

Tutorials will be held most weeks. They will be opportunites for students to ask questions about the lecture material, the PDP++ simulation environment, the computational models we study. Some will include a didactic component concerning PDP++, and some will include feedback on assignments.

  3. PDP++ (read ORM 2.5 and 2.6) in D-floor lecture theatre, Forrest Hill
  4. Hands-on PDP++ in C01 South Bridge
  5. Review of assignment 1 and questions on lectures (error-driven learning)
  6. Optional office hour in C19, Forrest Hill, if you have questions! Particularly on supervised and unsupervised learning, and ORM ch 4 and 5.
  7. Review of assignment 2 and questions on lectures (O'R & M chapters 7 and 8)
  8. Optional office hour in C19, Forrest Hill, if you have questions! Particularly on perception, ORM ch. 7
  9. Review of assignment 3 and questions on lectures (O'R &M chapter 10), readings in language.
  10. Review of module, readings in language.
