Research Training

Postgraduate students in the School of Informatics will receive training in general research skills in addition to the topic specific skills obtained through their research project. This training will include:

Advanced/specialist topic short courses
Generic research skills (through the College Office and the Transkills team)
Research proposal writing skills
Evaluating written publications
Oral presentation skills development
WWW presentation skills development
Oral and Poster presentations at the School's Annual Jamboree

Jon Oberlander has produced a consultative document on research training and tracking.
